Travels Kerala Itinerary

Day : 01 Cochin - Thattekkad
Your Travels kerala starts on arrival at Cochin airport or Railway station.We will transfer you to Thattekkadu 50kms 1hr .Check in to the hotel birds lagoon Thattekkad, situated on the banks of the Periyar River, over looking the lush greenery of the nearby rain forest. It houses the precious bird sanctuary named after Dr. Salim Ali, the famed ornithologist and attracts rare species of birds from various parts of the world including Asia and EuropeThe important birds found here include large falcon, gray jungle fowl, white breasted water hen, giant hornbill and varied species of migratory birds. The vegetation in this area consists of tropical evergreen, semi evergreen, and moist deciduous forest and plantations of teak, rosewood. Mahogany and bamboo etc. Further more than 28 varieties of animals including elephants; bison's and nine varieties of reptiles including king cobra have accepted this area as their natural habitat. This day is free for local sightseeing Birds lagoon Activities ( optional) Bird Watching, Thattekkadu Bird sanctuary Visit Boating, Trekking, Mountain Biking, Elephant Training Centre Visit, Jeep Safari. Overnight stay in the resort.

Day : 02 Thattekkad - Munnar
after breakfast we will take you to Munnar (90 Kms / 03 Hrs). Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1600 m above sea level, this hill station was the summer resort of the British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make Munnar a popular hill station. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue once every twelve years will bloom next in 2006 AD. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.. On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel.. Overnight stay in Hotel, Munnar.

Day 03 Munnar sightseeing
After breakfast we take you for a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar - which is a nature lover's paradise with endless teagardens lakes on western ghat hills; basically it is a tea town. covering - Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai - offering a spectacular view, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary, home of Nilgiry Thar( very rare mountain goat), considering the ecological faunal, floral, geo- morphological and zoological significant & Tea Plantation. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day: 04: Munnar Kumarakom
0900 Hrs after breakfast check out from Hotel and Travels Kerala

we drive down to Kumarakom (185 Kms / 4 Hrs). On the shores of the enchanting vembanad lake, 14 km form Kottayam, lies kumarakom a small-town. The most interesting area in the backwater is the ‘Kuttanad’ region called rice bowl of kerala. Kumarakom is just one little village in this region on the banks of the beautiful vembanad lake. The village of kumarakom is a cluster of little island s on the vembanad lake. & is a part of the kuttanad region. The bird sanctuary in kumarakom is spread across 14 acres is a favourite haunt of migratory birds & ornithologist’s paradise. After refreshing visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary ( famous for migratory and local birds), Evening go for Sunset cruise (optional) or enjoy the beauty of backwater by just relaxing near Vembanadu Lake.

Day 05 Alleppey Houseboat
Morning at leisure at resort, 1230 hrs checks in at houseboat. Rest of the day at leisure on the House Boat. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals of Kumarakom & Alleppey and seen in breathing green, the village slumbers by the Vembanadu Lake. On cruise scenery flashes up vivid contrasts of lush green and deep blues. As the boat glider along the gorgeous green of the fringed palms the ripples in the blue water blend in to little wavelets. Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, dinner and Overnight stay on House Boat.

Day : 06 Houseboat Cochin (Departure)
AM at leisure on House Boat experience the pollution free air and after a good breakfast at 0900 Hrs check out from houseboat and we transfer you Cochin û airport(100 km /2 hrs) / Railway station. End of travels to kerala/ services.
